Bison women 11th after day one of Texas Invite
The North Dakota State University women's golf team shot an opening round 27-over par 311 and is tied for 11th after the first round of the Texas State Invitational Monday, Feb. 12, at Plum Creek Golf Course.
Round two action was suspended due to darkness and will be completed prior to the third and final round Tuesday, Feb. 13.
Houston Baptist sits in first after tallying a round one 10-over par 294, while Central Arkansas is in second with a 13-over par 297. UTSA rounds out the top-three in third at 16-over par 300.
Freshman Alexis Thomas led the Bison and is tied for 13th through 18 holes with a 4-over par 75, while fellow freshman Taylor McCorkle is tied for 23rd at 5-over par 76.
Senior Natalie Roth (Detroit Lakes) is tied for 31st with a 6-over par 77, sophomore Camryn Roadley is tied for 78th at 12-over par 83, and fellow sophomore Sierra Bennion is tied for 83rd at 13-over par 84, rounding out the NDSU scoring.
Junior Emma Groom, who is competing as an individual, sits tied for 78th through 18 holes with a 12-over par 83.
Central Arkansas' Geraldine Wong leads the tournament after day one with an 18-hole 2-under par 69.
