Sunday, Oct. 1

At 12:02 a.m. a house on the 500 block of Main Avenue in Frazee was reportedly broken into and a dog was taken from the residence. The pup was later located.

At 12:19 a.m. a caller reported people going through cars on the 1100 block of Linden Lane in Detroit Lakes. Nothing was reportedly missing.

At 5:06 a.m. purses were reportedly stolen from a house on the 600 block of North Street in Detroit Lakes. The purses were later found sitting outside in the rain.

At 6:23 a.m. a caller reported ammo taken from a residence on the 600 block of North Street in Detroit Lakes.

At 7:03 a.m. a shotgun, wallet, and pack of cigarettes were reportedly stolen from a residence on the 200 block of Central Street in Detroit Lakes.

At 8 a.m. a caller reported a money clip and cigarettes had been stolen from a home on the 300 block of Minnesota Avenue in Detroit Lakes.

At 12:45 p.m. two pairs of gloves were reportedly stolen from the 27000 block of Highway 21 in Detroit Lakes.

At 1:41 p.m. a vehicle parked on the 200 block of Union Street in Detroit Lakes was reportedly entered and money and a license was missing.

At 3:26 p.m. a caller reported a garage had been broken into on the 300 block of Grant Street in Detroit Lakes and a knife was reportedly stolen from the building.

Monday, Oct. 2

At 1:56 p.m. a caller reported gravel had been stolen from the side of East Bad Medicine Lake Road in Ponsford.

At 5:24 p.m. a caller reported someone had siphoned gasoline from a vehicle parked on the 900 block of Oak Grove Avenue in Detroit Lakes.

At 11:15 p.m. a chimney fire was reported on the 47000 block of 282nd Street in Ponsford.

Tuesday, Oct. 3

At 8:23 a.m. a caller reported a theft from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Roosevelt Avenue in Detroit Lakes. The caller believes the vehicle was locked at the time of the theft.

At 10:07 a.m a student at the Detroit Lakes High School reported shoes had been stolen from a bag while the student was at practice.

At 3:05 p.m. a theft was reported from a residence on the 35000 block of Eagle View Road in Ogema.

At 3:45 p.m. a washer was reportedly stolen from a house on the 40000 block of Ladoux Road in Ponsford.

At 5:35 p.m. a caller reported the door to a residence on the 900 block of Willow Street had been broken and left open. The caller did not believe anyone had entered the residence as nothing was reportedly stolen.

At 6:11 p.m. a bike was reportedly stolen from Central Market.

Wednesday, Oct. 4

At 6:54 a.m. a car stereo was reportedly stolen from a pickup parked on the 300 block of State Street in Detroit Lakes.

At 8:17 a.m. a caller reported items had been stolen from a car parked on the 1100 block of Campbell Avenue in Detroit Lakes. Some of the stolen items were later located and, as a result, the police have one person in custody.

At 11:52 a.m. a caller reported someone stripping copper wire on Totland Road in Detroit Lakes.

At 11:55 a.m. a vehicle was reportedly rummaged through while parked on the 1000 block of Campbell Avenue in Detroit Lakes, and tools were missing.

At 11:58 a.m. a caller reported a vehicle had been gone through on the 1100 block of Campbell Avenue, but nothing was reportedly missing.

At 4:45 p.m. a bike was reportedly stolen from the 1100 block of Campbell Avenue, but the bike was later recovered.

Thursday, Oct. 5

At 1:02 p.m. money was reportedly stolen from a home on the 25000 block of 353rd Circle in Ogema.

At 1:41 p.m. a high school student reported money had been stolen from a locker.

At 5:30 p.m. emergency crews responded to a detached garage on the 26000 block of Highway 26, which had caught flame and was fully engulfed.

At 9:28 p.m. a caller reported the back door of a garage had been broken and opened on the 2300 block of Cherry Hill Drive in Detroit Lakes, but nothing was reportedly missing from the building.

Friday, Oct. 6

At 6:27 p.m. a high school student reported shoes had been stolen from a locker.

Saturday, Oct. 7

At 9:11 a.m. guns were reportedly missing from a residence on the 700 block of West Avenue in Detroit Lakes.

At 12:03 p.m. a few stamps were reportedly stolen from a residence on the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue in Detroit Lakes.

At 12:19 p.m. a caller reported vandalism done to a residence on the 25000 block of Hillcrest Road in Detroit Lakes, where a phone and window were reportedly broken.

At 4:56 p.m. a trailer and snowmobile were reportedly stolen from the 15000 block of Blackhawk Road in Audubon.

Sunday, Oct. 8

At 1:18 a.m. a caller reported $15 worth of merchandise had been stolen from the Audubon Liquor Store.

At 9:47 a.m. a Chevy Captiva was reportedly stolen from the 49000 block of 280th Street in Ponsford.

At 12:08 p.m. a building on the 500 block of Summit Avenue in Detroit Lakes was reportedly entered and several items were missing.

At 4:57 p.m. a caller reported someone had attempted to steal a trailer from the 29000 block of Sugar Hill Drive in Ogema.

Monday, Oct. 9

At 1:54 p.m. a caller reported a student had stolen a lighter from All in All in Frazee.

At 3:39 p.m. emergency crews responded to a transformer on fire on the corner of Highway 34 and Highway 225 in Osage.

At 4:37 p.m. a caller reported a gas fire on the 400 block of Union Street in Detroit Lakes. The fire was successfully put out with an extinguisher.

At 11:33 p.m. a caller reported the theft of an iphone from the 400 block of West Lake Drive. The phone owner later tracked the phone and found it with an individual who claimed to have found it on a bench and was looking to track down the owner to return the device.
